I met Amber at a local coffee shop in Shallotte, NC.  She came in with this infectious smile and we chatted about her wedding plans.  The first thing she said to me was.  “we are inviting everyone to an engagement party…but we are actually getting married, it’s a total surprise”  Now, what photographer, wouldn’t want to be a part of that?  As we began to plan her engagement shoot and then her bridals, I fell more and more in love with their love story.   Joey the strong silent one, she the ball of fire.  He totally adoring her every move and she had every detailed planned and as cool as a cucumber.

So as the guest arrived, you could tell there was a slight feeling that they knew what was going to happen, but once the preacher announced that there was going to be wedding there was a loud cheer.  Amber and her sweet mom rushed to get her ready and then it happened!

It was a beautiful (hot) night at Ocean Isle, but more than the surroundings, was the beautiful love that surrounded them…their closest friends and family celebrating their marriage.  Thank you so much Amber and Joey for allowing me to capture your special day!  

Here’s where they announced that it was the perfect day for a wedding!
