I sit her this morning and I’m just giddy. I’ve been working on this announcement for several months and I’m just so excited that we are able to announce “The Expectant Mother” program for expecting moms.
There was a day when I didn’t love to photograph maternity sessions…in fact, I took it out of what I had to offer for several years, but then I started to approach the process as a form of art. I wanted my mom’s to feel beautiful (at a time when so many don’t) I wanted to provide unique images that were not the run of the mill maternity shots. I wanted to create something special, not just a time to take pictures, but when they were finished, they felt like a princess
I started getting messages like this:
I have never felt more beautiful than I did in my maternity pictures with you
Sara-Anne, seeing your maternity pictures, makes me want to be pregnant again
Your maternity pictures look like they should all be on the cover of a magazine
I was not feeling photogenic at all, I was struggling with how I looked, and these are just beautiful and I love them. Thank you for that gift you have given me.
I realized that I had an opportunity to pour into and provide something special for these moms. So we are taking that to even the next level.
What is “The Expectant Mother”
Its a full service maternity experience which will include:
- light meal as you begin your experience
- full hair and make up (if you choose)
- ability to choose from our wardrobe including robes, wraps, gowns etc flower crowns
- unique and amazing locations (you will have to trust me on this one..as sometimes they don’t look amazing)
We’ve always had an amazing experience for our clients. We are not a studio that just shows up, snaps some pretty pictures and then gives them to you. It’s about creating art for you…95% of our clients end up with some sort of large print (usually a canvas) and they are art on their walls. Beautiful pieces that they share for generations. This is our goal! We will continue this and even more so moving forward with “The Expectant Mother”
- We will be offering quarterly nights out which will include chair massages, nutrition ideas from area nutritionist, tips for keeping your skin beautiful during pregnancy and more. These nights out will be fun and something that you will love to share with your friends! First one is set for March 1st
- During your viewing session, we want it to be a “night out” for you and your hubby…so come ready to enjoy some time together!

Questions:
Can my husband and child(ren) participate: Yes, though all the pampering will be about you! We can discuss the logistics at the time of booking
Will/Can these include studio setting: Yes, if you want.
Will the stylist listen to me about my hair: yes, we will all work together to make sure you feel the most beautiful ever and that the style is similar to what you would wear.
How far in advance do I need to book: We book typically about 6 weeks in advance, however, during the summer months when we travel so much for our beach sessions, we recommend 2-3 months.
Is this part of the Lullaby Club: Yes, this is part of the Lullaby Club baby plan or by itself.
Can we travel to the beach or mountains for our session: Yes for a small travel fee
We have had lots of expecting moms this past few weeks…braving the cold temps to capture this special time. I love how this mom truly glows. She’s expecting her 2nd child in a few weeks and even through the exhaustion and the uncomfortable feelings you get when you are that far along, she just radiates. There is truly something magical about being pregnant, about the role that you have at that point in time. I am thrilled to share these with her.
