I have been a mom who has loved every second of each stage of my kids life. You know, I loved when they were babies, I loved toddler years as everything changes so quickly and they grow and develop so much, I loved preschool years as they were so sweet, but I have to say, I love that they are both teen agers, yes its a lot, the emotions, the drama, the schedules etc, but I love that we can connect and talk about every day life and they are becoming more and more adultish every day! We’ve enjoyed the last few days with our son as our baby girl is NYC. I’ve loved talking about his dreams for his future, things he loves. We spent the weekend on the ball field watching him play the sport that he loves and we took him for all you can eat crabs at this little dive in Jamestown. It’s been a great few days, but I realize that they are precious and fleeting. That before I know it they will be grown and out of my house! It’s such a precious time, time to really build into them, to help to shape them and to let them experience all that they can. I’m grateful for a church that they love, for schools that have empowered them and taught them so much more than we could, for experiences that help them to broaden their horizons and for kids who are not afraid to take on challenges! It’s such a special time and I’m learning how to savor it day by day!
Nothing made me realize this more than this session with these three gorgeous generations of women! I loved their connection, the way that they just seemed to mold together (because of their closeness) I loved that the two grand daughters were years apart, but still had this special bond, and I loved how much they all adored and looked after the mom!. This was such a special session and I loved the way it turned out! I was honored that they chose me to capture them!
