It was definitely worth it! So glad to have had the opportunity to learn from you.

Are you one of these moms (or dads) who have all these expectations of taking awesome pictures of your family to document their lives. You show up to the soccer game, with your DSLR that you got for christmas (last year …not this past year) and you just throw it on auto and start snapping away. In the mean time, you are taking some pictures of your other child, who is playing on the sidelines and you get home, upload your images and you have 1 AWESOME shot…and you wonder…”how did I get that” what made that shot so good? The pictures of the child on the field …well there’s this one amazing action shot, but you want all of them to be that way!
Or you have a toddler that you are desperately wanting to capture her big baby blues, but every time you snap, it’s dark and there are shadows!
The trick is to learn how to set your camera so that you make it do what you need it to. In order to do that, you need to know what it needs to do! I know …confusing! But I’m here to help make sense of all that confusion!
I’m excited to offer again our Mom’s with Camera Class! It really is just for you! those of you who have a DSLR camera and just keep it in point and shoot mode! (AUTO)
My goal is to get you past that point…to understand your camera better so that you can start achieving the pictures that you want to.
It’s a very hands on class…
You will learn the following:
- basic photography terminology that will help you as you read further and learn more
- the exposure triangle and how to achieve that balance of light and shutter speed
- basic posing and lighting
- how to get your camera off auto
- how to achieve that beautiful “blur” bokeh that you see in so many pictures
- basic composition and design
