I can not believe that I am getting inquires for beach sessions and booking them!  Here it’s been a very cold week with record low temps and some snow/ice so the beach sounds so nice right about now!

I still have several beach sessions to feature from last season…I love looking back on these sessions as I know that I’m capturing so many great memories for these families while they are vacationing.  It truly is a special thing that I get to do!

A couple of people asked some fun questions at my mom’s with camera class and this past weekend and I thought I’d share…maybe they would help you get to know a bit more about me.

• what was the craziest prop someone brought to a sessions?  An airplane…yes, life size air plane.  The image was later published.  🙂
• How long have you been shooting professionally?  8 years!  WOW! that’s crazy to me!
• Whats the largest family session you have ever shot?  26 people.  It was fun…nuts but so fun!
• What’s your favorite age to shoot?  That’s really hard…I love them all!
• Where do you see yourself in 5 years?  Well, I will still have a studio downtown.  I hope to have several other photographers working with our team, I also hope to have another studio location at the beach and I really want to be publish a book.
• Do you think owning your own business is easier or harder?  I wrote about some of my thoughts here and I do think it’s very hard, but very rewarding as well.
• What is your dream session?  I would love to do a beach session in a tropical location!  (if there are any takers on that…please let me know..)

I’ve known this family since before my husband and I got married.  The dad was actually my husband’s roommate in college and share many many funny stories!  I love their images as you can see their love for each other that just shines through.  Their girls are beautiful…all unique and I love that we were able to capture their individuality.  Oak Island has become one of my most favorite locations to shoot…and produced many of my favorite sessions from last year!
