I’ve been doing this (running a photography business for a LONG time) and the one thing that I can say that has helped me grow my client base, make a profitable living and be sustainable for years in a swamped industry is SERVING my clients!

As a photographer, this is the one thing you have in your back pocket that can set you apart with little $$ and time! It is making micro changes to have macro impacts!

Here are 4 easy ways to serve your senior clients! (stay tuned for ways for families)

1. Customize! We offer customization at every point. From their locations (if they want) to their grad cards, we make it unique and special. People don’t want to feel like they are just a number, they want to feel that they matter, and customization helps create a unique experience.
2. Extra Services: From hair and make up to cap and gown, hobby etc mini sessions, the extra services help to make their experience like nothing they’ve had before and often is the part they remember most about working with us.
3. Make it easy for them to share your images: When clients purchase digital images, we have an app where they can download the images right to their phones for easy access. They don’t have to dropbox them, they don’t have to get them off a flash drive. The app is easy peasy!
4. Prepare them! So often they are nervous, they don’t know what to wear, what will look good in front of a camera etc…we send them a 48 page style guide once they book…so many of our clients say they read it cover to cover! We also send them detailed emails that helps prepare them and mom for our time together.

We had so many fun clients this past fall, but one stands out! Izzy has such an amazing sense of her own style and definitely didn’t want fields and flowers and I love everything about that. I get asked all the time, where will we do our session??? That is totally up to you! If you see yourself with a more urban edgy feel (much like Izzy) then we do that!
