Weekly Wrap Up: Greesnboro NC Photographer

This week has been a whirlwind.  Great, but I definitely feel like I’m “back in the swing” of things.

Started off the week with a conference in DC, the EVENT with some of the best the industry has to offer, was just what this photographer needed to jump start the year!  It was motivating and also practical and I came away with a few things that will help make things better at SAP

  • workflow:  this is a must that we need to change and we are.  We are setting up a studio management program called Pixifi that I finally feel has everything that me and the team need in order to manage and move things through the studio systems.
  • Branding:  we are in the middle of a brand refresh
  • the comparison factor:  We will do whatever we can do continue to promote community over competition.  In a industry where there is a photographer everywhere…we will do what we can to support them and encourage our community.
  • Workshop:  I will be teaching a workshop this year!  There’s a whole story behind this, and I will be sharing details next week, but I’m super excited about it and was motivated to keep on with my passion to educate.

We spent a lot of time this week editing:  We had several newborn sessions the first of the year, we also had some sessions right towards the end of 2015 so we had a full plate with editing.

We shopped a bit:  We’re making some changes in the studio (really fun ones) that will help make the experience even more amazing.  We’ll share pictures once it’s complete!

Organized:  We are hiring a professional organizer along with someone part time that will help with all the studio details and keeping the studio pretty and organized.

We booked a wedding:  Yes, we only do a few, but we are excited about the ones we have on the books for this year!

School:  has been nuts!  Our daughter had some major projects plus shes wrapping up “our town” and has had play practice every night.

Christmas: It’s finally coming down this week.  I’ve held onto the sparkling lights in our home, the christmas scents and the warm feeling that it brings to our home.  But it feels good to put it all away and have a clean house that always feels bigger and more spacious.

Camera Camp!  Its sold out for January, still room for the Photoshop class, the 2.0 class and the February class!

That’s our wrap up this week.

This family is truly one of my favorite family’s ever.  If you are ever in my studio, you will see evidence of that as little Miss H. graces many walls.  But what I truly adore is that they are so genuine as people.  They always ask about me, about my kids…it’s such a blessing.

I have so enjoyed working with them over the years…adorable personalities, lots of love and out of this world outfits to boot.  You won’t believe what we had to do in order to get these smiles from the youngest, but lets just say, if someone were to walk by when I was shooting they would have thought “what is that crazy lady doing”  It really doesn’t matter….I do whatever I can!  Thank you so much K family!  You are the best!
