Three Thoughts about Blogging! Chapel Hill Maternity Photographer

I feel so far behind, don’t you hate that when you have lists upon lists of things to do and sometimes just feel like you take 2 steps forward and two steps back.  I love this blog, over the years we’ve had an up and down relationship.  I always feel that I need to spend more time, more time writing and sharing my heart, but I know I neglect it!  Truth is, I love to write…when I have time to really think about my words.  I love to communicate and share things that I feel that are put on my heart.  I don’t take for granted the many of you who stop by and who read those words.   I’m often so humbled and value your time and want it to be interesting and informative!

Lately, I’ve had so much on my heart that I so desperately want to get on these pages, but life and business is crazy and I find myself so paralyzed when I sit down to type.   I do know these things…if you are looking to write, looking to share your heart, think about these three things!

  1.  You have to keep notes as your thoughts come to your head.  Don’t rely on your memory.  Thoughts come and go, and the only way to build upon them is to have them down somewhere so you can reflect on them.
  2. Take time to develop your thoughts, make a map per-say of each point so that it flows and is consistent.  Keep in mind your audience and who you want to share with, it will help your thoughts flow
  3.  Find your voice, that’s what people want to hear.  If you are blessed to have people who value what you say enough to keep stopping by, then make sure they hear your thoughts.  This is something that I had to learn the hard way, but a lesson that I’m so glad that I did learn.

I’ve had this small space on the interent for over 10 years, it’s amazing to me that people read it…read it often.  I have people stop me in church or in town and say “I saw on your blog…” that always brings a smile to my face and warms my heart and I don’t take it lightly!  I have big plans for this written journal, things that I feel so led to share…but it all take time and I don’t have much of that right now!

I was so blessed to be able to have this woman and her sweet family in front of my lens.  She is the epitome of a glowing mom to be!  I have said it so many times, but after her session, I was re-enforced…how beautiful my clients are!
Her outdoor maternity session was nothing short of stunning and just wait to you see her baby girl!  We loved every moment of her maternity session!  Thank you so much to Kara, our hair and make up artist…you were amazing!
