Gearing Up! Burlington NC Family Photographers

We are finishing up our summer (still have over 10 beach sessions scheduled) but the summer is definitely coming to an end….in so many ways it’s hard to believe that are wrapping up which is by far our busiest beach season ever, but we are ready for fall!  Can not believe that its here and we are booking up (with very little availability) our fall sessions!  Before we know it…it will be time to pull out all the christmas decor and things will be all Merry & Bright!

Our son has made his way up to the DC area to participate in SERVE camp…which is an awesome experience for teens …where they will spend an entire week, just doing love projects…anywhere from feeding the homeless, to packing backpacks for under privileged kids, to working in nursing homes…it’s an awesome opportunity..Micah said “I’ve never worked so hard in my life…but I can’t wait to do it again”

Our daughter is busy with her cake decorating classes…and pulling it all together for a huge party that we are having this week for my inlaws 50th!  She’s excited for her first real “gig”

My kids are growing up!  I look at them, but more so I hear them talk and I realize, they are not the little kids anymore…just like that…they have grown up!  I have been super thankful for the time that I have been able to spend with them this summer!  It’s time I will never have back!

I’m reminded more and more of why it’s so important to do what I do!  A client from last fall posted this on my FB page the other day.  “I’m sitting here in my cozy living room, and I can’t take my eyes off the beautiful canvas…hands down the best money ever spent”  Not only did this make my day…but it totally reiterates why photography is important!  This mom saved for that session, for those products…for her it was an investment and it was so special to me to hear about it!  And now, she is enjoying that investment daily!

I’ve been going through old family pictures (in prep for the party too) and my mother in law took some really beautiful pictures of my husband…they are truly beautiful and I cherish them, but more than me, our kids do!  Micah’s response was “mom, you have to figure out a way to display those”  he’s right.  They are important to him too…

A few details about our family sessions this fall!

  • We only have a few weekend dates available …so if that is important, please let me know ASAP!
  • If you book Monday-Thursday your session fee is 1/2 off
  • The last date for Family sessions is November 20th
  • We will be doing our snow sessions (not sure about the details…they will be different this year)

I had the awesome opportunity to photograph this family while they were vacationing at Oak Island!  I adore their session…I love that just like the mom mentioned above, this mom values pictures and her kids in them.  They were all super easy to work with…did anything I asked and just a joy to to get to know!  As she messaged me the other day…”i’m certain that if I lived in Kentucky, that we would be friends”  and she’s right!  I can not wait to share with you all…her collage that we are working on for her walls…it will be awesome!  Thank you so much Akers family for letting me capture you while you were at the beach!
