I can’t believe that the school year is well under way and as I went into Hobby Lobby the other day, the isles were all Christmas…WOW! Yes, before you know it, Christmas will be here and I wanted to take a few min. and encourage you NOT to delay in planning your holiday portraits. I will be closing the office this year the week of Thanksgiving and going forth…meaning I will not be booking any more portrait sessions after Thanksgiving. This is always a crazy time, but please try to plan ahead and make use of our mini session days.

Schedule a portrait session for your holiday portrait! Yes, this is the one time that so many families schedule sessions as they want family pictures for greeting cards and gifts. Please contact me soon if you are interested in a session.
Order your Greeting Cards….As usual, we will have several lines of custom greeting cards for you to choose from. You must use a SAP image for these and they must be ordered before Dec. 1st.
Gift cards….what a perfect gift for your special loved one! A gift certificate to SAP…this way they can use it as they wish for all their custom photography needs
Custom prints or boutique items, can you think of a more special gift for your parents or in laws than a custom album of your baby or family?

Newborn Sweetness! Fuquay Varina Newborn Photographer

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job! I get to go and hold these precious sweet newborns and cuddle with them for a few hours and then often get to watch them grow! What fun. This little one was no exception. So very sweet! Angie and Ryan, you have such a precious little boy…thank you so much for letting me hang out with you for a few hours. I think these images capture him perfectly!

I’ve had several inquires about newborn sessions and so I wanted to give a few details about them here on the blog! (you can always e-mail me for more info)

If you are expecting right now, it’s a great time to book as session with me as I’m running a really great promotion, so feel free to e-mail me and check out availability
Newborn sessions are scheduled up to 7 months out.
Newborn sessions are best shot in the first week of life (it’s how we are able to get those sleepy all curled up poses)
I come to you (which is very nice for new parents) and sometimes the sessions can take up to 2 hours…just depending on the babe…but it’s not a big deal. If your baby needs feeding or cuddling or a change, no biggie
Most of my newborn shots are taken in just a diaper or naked…newborn outfits really don’t fit very well and babies get all lost in them. But if you have a special outfit that you want photographed, I will be happy to do that.
It’s all about light….I will find the best light possible…sometimes that is on a back porch, bathroom or even a garage with the door open. Please just trust me that this is part of what gives my images such a great exposure!
Poop happens…yes, it does! Please don’t be alarmed if your baby potty’s….it’s part of the job for me and ALL babies do it!

Wrapping up the Summer: Holden Beach

I’m so sorry I haven’t been as faithful of a blogger as usual. You would think that with the kids in school, I would have more time, but I’m just slammed and loving it!

This is a busy week at SAP…lots going on! I’m in the process of redoing all my written promotional items and though I love it, it’s time consuming. I’ve had some new mommies schedule some newborn sessions and Stephanie from gigiCreations and I will head to Atlanta in a few weeks for a weekend of Models and Minis…so fun!

I wanted to touch base about the How Did She Do That class….it will be launching in a few weeks and there are still a few spots left so if you are at all interested, please go ahead and sign up!

Okay, well there’s lots more to share, newborns, beach sessions, etc. This just just one quick peek from a recent beach sessions. Enjoy!

Giving Back: North Carolina Photographer

As a photographer, I feel that the gift/skills I have been given are not my own! I truly believe that they are God’s gift to me to use. I often find it hard to give back my gift. Yes, I come into contact with many people and along the way, the Lord has used that, but for a while, I have had this tugging at my heart to do something more.

I have been thinking about doing this for some time now, and you know how things just stay on your brain for a while. So I’m really excited to announce my “giving back” program. Please if you know of anyone (it can be a family, a child, a teen….) who you think is perfect for this, then please send me an e-mail. I can’t do this without your eyes and ears keeping me informed! Thanks so much, I’m so excited to see what God is going to do through this!
