Hi there! I'm so glad you stopped by my blog. I hope that as you read the posts you will get to know me a bit better and I you! You will read more about my life as a wife, photographer, friend, daughter, sister and pastors wife. That's a lot of hats to juggle so things get busy, but this blog is where I can write it all down.
You will find that my love for capturing fleeting moments in peoples lives is a passion of mine that I'm so blessed to have been able to make it a career. I hope that through my photos, you will see the smiles, connections, love, joy, sweetness, tenderness and beauty in my clients lives. What a privileged I have!!!

I’m so excited to announce this next workshop for those photographers who are just starting out and want to learn more about basic photography. The online course will be 8 weeks and here’s how it will run.
I have created a special website just for you. Here you will have the ability to post in a forum, submit your pictures and read and get your lessons and your assignments. Each particpant will recieve a manual that will be chalked full of information that will help you as you work your way through this course.
Week 1
During week one we will introduce each other and will spend time getting asscssed with your camera and the settings. We will also talk about composition and the difference between candid and portrait shots.
Week 2
We will begin to get technical this week. You will learn about Aperture and how to shoot in aperture mode on your camera.
Week 3
We will talk about the exposure triangle and ISO and how to work in your knowledge of aperture and composition.
Week 4
This week we will explore sharpness and focusing issues.
Week 5
Lighting is what we will focus on this week. Both indoor and outdoor and using an external flash (if you must)
Week 6
We’ll tackle posing and styling of all genres including (seniors, newborns, families and children)
Week 7
We will cover basic editing in Adobe PS things such as (levels, curves, hues, saturations & cropping and storage
Week 8
We’ll dive a little deeper into editing so that we are taking your images from just snapshots to works of art. We will also talk about vendors and where you go from here.
The nuts and bolts
* There will be only 20 attendees allowed
* Payment must be received at the time of registration
* Each attendee will receive a box full of goodies from me this will include your manual and some other fun things (including my posing manual and wall guides)
* you will need a DSLR (not point and shoot) a computer with High Speed internet and some version of Adobe PS (which you can download a free trial version if you don’t already have it)
* Each week will begin with the posting of the lesson on the website and then discussion. Then your assignments will be posted. You will have until Friday of that week to complete your assignment and post your images. The weekend will involve more discussion about your images, your triumphs and your struggles
* You will be given special access to the website the first of July
* Some of you have asked about vacations and other things that may creep up. Though the lessons will go on you will have the ability to pick up and self pace as you need. The key will be to “stay connected” as much as you can.
